This afternoon I had a couple quick things to pick up from the store. I went to Everybody's, Fairfield's organic grocery store, where everything costs twice as much as at Hy-Vee. I chose the organic chai, organic waffles, organic lotion, etc. Pleased with my eco-friendly choices, I hurried through the checkout line and out to the car, where I finally realized that I had let the clerk put my purchases into a disposabe plastic bag. All while my nice little keychain bag was in my pocket.
Old habits die hard. At least I'm trying!
P.S. Glen just called. He said he called Waste Management and they said you can recycle office paper at the curb. They occasionally run an ad in the paper saying what they'll take at the curb and what you have to bring into their facility, and office paper is always on the list of things that has to be taken to the facility. But I'm going to try putting it in the recycling bin this week and hope they take it. If I've been throwing away something for two years that I could have just been putting in my recycling bin, then I am a double dork. And you can say it to my face. :-P
Let me know if they pick it up.
